Fox Lake police find woman's body near dog's remains on shore of Nippersink Lake
FOX LAKE (FOX 32 News) - Fox Lake police are investigating the death of a woman whose remains were found along a lake.
Police said they were called to the 200 block of Leisure Drive near Nippersink Lake around 2:45 p.m. on Saturday. The caller was concerned about a dead dog near the water.
Once they arrived, police also found a woman dead along the shoreline.
Police have not released her identity, because they are still notifying next of kin.
Police did not offer details about the cause of death but did say there is no threat to the community.
