Indiana police seize more than 70 lbs of marijuana during traffic stop

Indiana State Police seized more than 70 pounds of marijuana Monday during a traffic stop in Greenfield.

A state trooper pulled over a 2017 Ford Expedition after witnessing it weaving in and out of traffic lanes on I-70, according to police

The stop netted more than 78 pounds of marijuana, worth an estimated street value of around $250,000. The driver, Christian Elie from Colorado, and his passenger, Austin Johnson from Indianapolis, were arrested and are facing drug charges. They were transported to Hancock County Jail.

Indiana State Police are working with the Hancock County Prosecutor's Office to determine formal charges.
