COLUMBIA, South Carolina (Fox 32 News) - A South Carolina woman says she will never drive an automatic car again after she was able to get away from kidnappers thanks to her stick shift.

Jordan Dinsmore was carjacked by two men at her student apartment complex in Columbia, South Carolina, last week. They threatened her with a gun and threatened to rape her, The State newspaper reported.

She said as they forced her back into her 2009 Scion, they realized that they could not drive stick, so they made her drive.

They forced her to an ATM and told her to keep on driving. She threw the car into neutral and jumped out as it plowed through an intersection at 35 miles per hour.

The car crashed into the bushes, and since the kidnappers could not drive stick, they ran away.

The State reported that police are calling her "James Bond" after her narrow escape. Dinsmore is a criminal justice major who wants to join the FBI.

She also said she will only ever drive a stick shift.
