Man, 78, missing from Des Plaines retirement home

CHICAGO (STMW) - The Des Plaines Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a 78-year-old man who went missing Tuesday afternoon from a Des Plaines retirement home.

Roger D. Albanese was last seen by Asbury Court Retirement Home, 1750 S. Elmhurst Road in Des Plaines, staff on Tuesday afternoon. He was reported missing by a family member on Saturday, according to a missing person alert.

He was observed on video at a local bank making a withdrawal at 5 p.m. Tuesday, according to the statement.

Albanese does take medications for “certain medical conditions” and police do not believe he has his medications.

He does not drive and needs a walker to get around. He frequently rides PACE buses and CTA buses and trains, according to the statement.

Albanese lived in the Northwest Side of Chicago many years ago, according to the statement.
