Man charged with two burglaries on same day in Wadsworth

CHICAGO (STMW) - A man has been charged with burglarizing a home and a business Tuesday in north suburban Wadsworth.

Deputies responded to burglaries in the 16500 block of West Route 173; and the 41400 block of North Route 41, both in Wadsworth, according to a statement from the Lake County sheriff’s office.

During the investigation, officers talked to a witness who suspected 24-year-old Joseph K. Segerstrom was involved, according to the sheriff’s office.

Detectives interviewed Segerstrom and found he had items taken during both burglaries, according to police.

Segerstrom, of Gages Lake, was charged with burglary and residential burglary, according to the sheriff’s office. He was ordered held on a $30,000 bond, and is next scheduled to appear in court Feb. 8.
