Man shot during argument on Chicago's South Side

A man was shot during an argument early Friday in Chicago's Morgan Park neighborhood.

What we know:

Officers responded around 12:45 a.m. to the 11000 block of South Peoria Street and found th 28-year-old with a gunshot wound to his leg, according to CPD.

Police said the shooting happened after an argument between two men, during which shots were fired.

The victim was treated at the scene and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Centerl where he was listed in fair condition.

Police said a person of interest was taken into custody and a weapon was recovered at the scene. 

Charges are pending as Area Two detectives investigate.
