Man stabbed in the head on Chicago's West Side, police say
CHICAGO - An altercation on the city’s West Side resulted in a man being stabbed in the head and sent to the hospital a little after midnight early Saturday morning.
The incident happened in the 5000 block of West Madison Street in the South Austin neighborhood, according to Chicago police.

What we know:
Police said the 29-year-old victim was in a physical altercation with an unidentified male and female offender a little after midnight.
The victim told police the female offender produced a sharp object and made contact with his head before fleeing the scene.
The man who was stabbed was taken to Loretto Hospital where he was listed in serious condition with an injury to his head, police said.
No one was in custody in connection with the stabbing.
Area detectives are investigating.
