Three people were hurt after the car they were in drove into Lake Michigan early Saturday morning on Chicago’s North Side.
CHICAGO - A car fleeing from police crashed and three people were arrested on Chicago’s Near West Side lake Friday night.
What we know:
Officers responded to the 2000 block of W. Lake Street around 9:21 p.m. for a crash involving a wanted car, according to the Chicago Police Department.
A silver sedan had fled from police shortly before the crash, police said. The sedan fled southbound on Damen, blew a traffic signal, and hit a beige SUV that was traveling westbound on Lake Street.
Police arrested three male suspects in the silver sedan. Their ages and names were not disclosed. Officers also found multiple guns in the car, police said.
The sole occupant of the beige SUV, a 25-year-old man, declined medical attention.
No other injuries were reported.
Charges are pending.
Area detectives are investigating the incident.
