The baby boy who police said was taken by his non-custodial mother from Athens-Clarke County has been found.

Authorities said 18-month-old Grayson Clark was located in Georgia and is okay. His mother, 38-year-old Robin Clark, was also found and is now hospitalized in Athens with injuries that are not life-threatening.

Athens-Clarke County Police told FOX 5 the boy's mother was being pursued by authorities on a number of criminal charges, including trafficking methamphetamine. Police said a judge recently stripped Clark of custody of Grayson due to her methamphetamine use and awarded custody to the father, Tyronn Williams.

Williams filed a missing persons report on April 20, according to police.

"Help him come home," Williams said to FOX 5 in a plea to the public. "I'm scared for him," he said.

Authorities said early Thursday morning Clark was located somewhere in Georgia, but not in Athens-Clarke County.

Detectives told FOX 5 they learned, through the course of their investigation, Clark had left Grayson and her other 2-year-old child at a home on Kesler Road in Franklin County. Investigators believe that home is a possible meth house.

During the children's stay at the home, investigators believe Clark left her kids there and traveled to Seneca, South Carolina for a drug deal. That deal turned into a bust and a high-speed chase, landing the mother in the hospital, police said.

According to police, a friend reported she took Grayson and drove to pick Clark up at the hospital, then dropped them both off at a Sonic restaurant in Toccoa on April 29.

"It's a sad thing. She's not really thinking about this kid that she loves," Williams previously said.
