Shooting inside Chicago home leaves man dead, woman hurt

A man was killed and a woman was hurt after a shooting inside a home on Chicago’s South Side early Saturday morning.

Officers responded and found the victims inside the home in the 1700 block of East 67th Street around 12:36 a.m. A 23-year-old woman was shot in the face and neck and a 23-year-old man was shot in the abdomen and chest.

Both were taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center.

The man died at the hospital.

The woman was listed in critical condition.

The cause of the shooting and the relationship between the victims was not clear.

No one is in custody in connection with the shooting. Area detectives are investigating.
