Single vehicle crash knocks out fence near Midway Airport

CHICAGO - A bad crash knocked out fencing near Midway Airport Wednesday.

The stretch of about two car lengths is no longer fenced off, giving almost a direct path to one of the runways.

Police said a single vehicle crashed into the fence causing the damage.

No one was hurt, officials said.

Contractors are already making repairs, and airport operations were not impacted.
