Suburban school district offering more money for substitute teachers due to staff shortages
BARRINGTON, Ill. - One area school district needs substitute teachers, and is offering more money for those who are interested.
A proposal within the Barrington Area Unit District 220 would increase the pay for subs from $110 per day to $135.
The superintendent says they have been dealing with staffing shortages due to COVID.
A new rate has not been implemented yet.
