Two men, including innocent bystander, shot in Heart of Chicago

SUN-TIMES MEDIA WIRE - Two men, one of whom was an innocent bystander, were wounded in a drive-by shooting Saturday afternoon in the Heart of Chicago on the Lower West Side.

The 25-year-old was sitting outside at 4:20 p.m. in the 2000 block of South Paulina when a light-colored blue vehicle drove by and two people inside fired shots, according to Chicago Police. He was shot in the leg and taken to University of Illinois Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.

A 23-year-old man, who was not the intended target, was also walking on the sidewalk when the shots rang out, police said. He suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen and was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition.
