Violent Chicago robbery leaves man critically wounded on South Side

A man was robbed and stabbed in the neck Monday night in the Gresham neighborhood on Chicagio's South Side.

The backstory:

Around 11:22 p.m., officers found the 35-year-old victim with a stab wound to the throat and bruising to the face in the 7800 block of South Wood Street, police said. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition.

The victim told police he was attacked by three people who stole his personal belongings.

Area Two detectives launched an investigation.

So far, no arrests have been made.
