Woman, 40, shot several times in Englewood

CHICAGO - A woman was shot several times and critically wounded Wednesday morning in the Englewood neighborhood.

Police found the 40-year-old suffering from multiple gunshot wounds throughout the body around 2 a.m. in the 6200 block of South Carpenter Street, according to CPD.

She was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center where she was listed in critical condition.

There is no one in custody as Area One detectives investigate.
