Woman, 65, hurt in hit-and-run, photo of car released

Police have released a photo of a car they believe was involved in a hit-and-run that left a 65-year-old woman injured last week in the Kenwood neighborhood on the South Side.

The woman was crossing the street when she was struck by a vehicle about 11:44 a.m. on Jan. 22 in the 4700 block of South Ellis Avenue, according to Chicago police.

The car, described as a beige sedan, fled the scene and was last seen headed east on 47th Street. It may have been a Dodge Stratus, police said.

No further information about the incident was available.
