Woman found guilty in death of Pearland police officer

The former assistant principal turned exotic dancer charged with intoxication manslaughter in the death of a Pearland police officer has been found guilty. On Thursday, she was sentenced to 32 years in prison.

A jury took less than two hours to convict Amber Willemsen in the death of officer Endy Ekpanya.

The 40-year-old Willemsen was leaving her shift at the Ritz in June of last year when she drove her car on the wrong side of the road on FM 518 hitting Ekpanya's patrol car head on.

During the trial, jurors watched video of Willemsen drinking alcohol before leaving the strip club.

Willemsen faces between five and 99 years or life in prison.
