Northwestern football announces Big Ten opponents at Wrigley Field in 2025 season

While the new-look Ryan Field continues to approach its 2026 finish date, Northwestern football will continue to play at its lakeside stadium and at Wrigley Field in 2025.

On Wednesday, NU announced who it will welcome to the Friendly Confines in 2025.

The Wildcats will play Minnesota and Michigan at Wrigley Field in 2025. Both games are in November. NU will host Michigan first on Nov. 15 and then Minnesota a week after, on Nov. 22.

In the 2024 season, Northwestern hosted Ohio State and Illinois at Wrigley Field, losing in both contests.

This is part of a rigorous schedule for Northwestern in 2025. Not only will NU welcome the likes of Tulane, Oregon and UCLA to Evanston, but the Wildcats will go on the road to play Penn State, Nebraska and USC.

Northwestern will finish its 2025 season on the road in Champaign against Illinois.

Northwestern will look to return to bowl eligibility in 2025 after missing out on a bowl game in the 2024 season with a 4-8 record. It was David Braun's first season as the full-time head coach.
