Chicago will be fittingly warm today with highs in the upper 80s except near the lake where it will be several degrees cooler.

The afternoon sun should easily push Chicago-area highs into the upper 80s, with a 90-degree mark here or there possible

A weakening line of showers and storms will move through the Chicagoland area late tonight and into early Wednesday.

A few showers are roaming across Chicago's northern counties early this morning. These may continue through the midday hours but much of Chicagoland will be dry.
