Chicago weather: Dry, comfortable conditions to start the weekend

We’re looking at pretty dry, comfortable conditions this weekend, quite the change from the last couple of weeks.

Fox Chicago Meteorologist Mark Strehl has the forecast.

What To Expect:

First, there might be a 10-15% chance of an isolated shower, likely closer to the lake, but the vast majority of us should remain dry on Saturday.

Highs were expected to be in the mid-70s, which should remain the case throughout the weekend.

There were some clouds around town, but sunshine was starting to peek out.

Still, on Chicago Triathlon weekend, we’re keeping an eye on the water conditions because there might be dangerous waves of up to 3 to 6 feet that may make swimming and boating hazardous, according to the National Weather Service.

Those conditions were expected to be with us between Saturday afternoon and through Sunday.

Highs in the 70s will stay with us through the start of the work week but then they will creep up into the lower 80s as the week goes on.
