'The King and I' brings timeless musical to Lyric Opera

CHICAGO (FOX 32 NEWS) - The timeless, ethereal musical "The King and I" is debuting at the Lyric Opera on April 29.

The Tony-winning production tells the story of a British schoolteacher who is hired by the King of Siam to tutor his wives and children, starring Broadway staples Kate Baldwin and Paolo Montalban.

Good Day Chicago's Jake Hamilton got a chance to go behind-the-scenes of the musical a week ahead of the Chicago debut next Friday.
