11/18 Paralegal/Legal Assistant (Chicago)

The Paralegal/Legal Assistant is a contract position that could lead to a full time role at Nextpoint.

We are looking for candidates to start as early as Monday, November 16, 2015. In this role a successful candidate will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific client-related projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals, while keeping clients satisfied and coming back for more and deepening adoption within client firms.

This role serves as the clients contact and advocate inside Nextpoint and is key to developing and maintaining these important relationships. That means making sure the clients needs and wants are always addressed in a timely and professional manner by acting as a liaison between the end client, client success, sales, marketing, R&D, and operations teams. This role is key to maintaining client satisfaction in current accounts and increasing revenue, which determine the future and success of Nextpoint.

Responsibilities
-Meet and consult with clients on overall firm or project-specific objectives and develop customized solutions for their needs
-Lead, plan, communicate and facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables to both the client and internal team
-Define project tasks and resource requirements including coordinating project staff
-Manage and track project budgets, timelines, and deliverables
-Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project including hours, expenses and budget burn
-Evaluate all key project deliverables, as well as final product to ensure traceability of requirements, high quality and client acceptance
-Continually seeks opportunities to increase client satisfaction and deepen client relationships by building a knowledge of each client's business, organization and objectives
-Prepare reports detailing project quality, client and team satisfaction, and project success metrics
-Explain implications of changes to project scope and/or objectives to the client and to the project team
-Self-starter approach to work, with an eagerness to consistently meet and exceed objectives and take on more responsibility

Qualifications
-2+ years of experience working at a law firm and/or e-discovery, or consulting company
-Legal and/or e-discovery experience preferred
-Proven experience in strategic planning, managing others and budgeting
-Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with high profile clients
-Experience with Salesforce, PowerPoint, Google Platform a plus
-Bachelor's degree
-Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills
-Ability to problem solve and think analytically in a fast-paced environment
