Eight people were rescued from a house fire Wednesday in Englewood on the South Side.

Reports of a fire at a home in the 7200 block of South Carpenter Street were received about 5 a.m., according to Chicago fire officials. The blaze was put out about an hour later.

Eight people were displaced from the home, fire officials said. No one was injured.
