Suburban man dies after being ejected from vehicle during crash
AURORA, Ill. - An Aurora man has died after being ejected from a vehicle during a crash early Sunday.
What we know:
The crash occurred around 3:45 a.m. near the intersection of Illinois Route 59 and Meridian Parkway.
According to preliminary information, a white 2018 Jaquar XE, driven by a 32-year-old man, was heading southbound on Route 59 when he lost control of the vehicle just south of Meridian Parkway.
The vehicle then veered off the roadway and struck a light pole on the west side of Route 59, police said.
The crash ejected the driver from the vehicle.
He was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries but later died from his injuries.
What we don't know:
Police did not release the victim's name but mentioned he had recently moved to Aurora.
The cause of death has not yet been determined.
