2 teens injured, one critically, after suspect stabs them during fight in Bronzeville: police

Two teenage boys were injured, one critically, after another teen stabbed them during a fight in Bronzeville Monday evening.

What we know:

The stabbing happened around 5:07 p.m. in the 3500 block of South King Drive.

According to police, a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old were fighting with another 15-year-old when the suspect pulled out a sharp object and stabbed both victims before fleeing.

The 15-year-old was stabbed in the chest and taken to Comer Children's Hospital in good condition. The 16-year-old suffered a stab wound to the neck and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition.

Officers later took the suspect into custody in the 3100 block of South Giles.

No other injuries were reported, and Area One detectives are investigating. 

What we don't know:

Authorities have not shared details about what led to the fight. Additionally, no information has been released regarding possible charges against the suspect.
