CHICAGO - A Chicago man was arrested this week after allegedly shooting a man in the city's Englewood neighborhood.

Darren Reed, 24, faces one felony count of aggravated battery/discharge of a firearm.
The charge stems from an incident that occurred around 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday in the 7000 block of South Carpenter Street, when Reed allegedly shot and wounded a 41-year-old man.
Officers responded to the area and arrested Reed about 15 minutes later in the 1300 block of West 71st Street.

His detention hearing is scheduled for Friday.
