Hillshire corn dog products recalled

The Hillshire Brands Company is recalling dozens of corn dog and sausage on a stick products. 

The following products are included in the recall

Recalled items:

The recall involves several products from Hillshire, most sold under the brand name Jimmy Dean and State Farm with various use by/sell by dates.

The corn dog and sausage on a stick products were packaged between March 17, 2025, and September 26, 2025. The products subject to recall bear establishment number "EST-582" or "P-894" printed on the packaging.

The recall includes 27 product names, equaling more than 58 million pounds of corn dog and sausage on a stick products. 

Reason for recall:

Hillshire began receiving complaints, and learned of five injuries. The company investigated and learned wooden sticks entered the production process prior to the products being battered.

These items were sold online and shipped to retail and food service locations nationwide. They were also sold commercially to school districts, not through the USDA school lunch program, and to Department of Defense facilities nationwide.
