TINLEY PARK, ILLINOIS (Fox 32 News) - Cook County investigators are looking for a man who dumped three cats out of his van and took off.
The man pulled up in a van near 167th and Lockwood in Tinley Park Friday night. The temperature was in the teens.
Surveillance video shows him dumping two kittens and their mother before driving off.
The owner of a nearby equestrian center, Terry Wenninger, heard the meowing and rescued the cats.
"I don't want to ruin his life," Wenninger said of the suspect. "I just want the little souls treated with respect."
The animals are now safe and in the care of the South Suburban Humane Society.
The crime unit of Cook County Animal Control is investigating.
