Southwest Airlines plane suffers nose gear failure at BWI Airport while departing gate
BALTIMORE - A Southwest Airlines plane departing from BWI Airport in Baltimore experienced a failure to its nose gear and collapsed Thursday evening as it was pushing back from its departure gate, the airline said.
There were 126 passengers and five flight crew members on board Flight 149 heading to Atlanta, but no injuries were reported.
All of the passengers were taken off the plane and are being accommodated for another flight to Atlanta.
“The aircraft will be inspected by our technical operations team,” Southwest Airlines said in a statement. “There is no other impact to flights to and from BWI.”
