THC-infused wing sauce returns to Chicago just in time for the Super Bowl

For many football fans, the Super Bowl isn’t complete without a plate of wings.

This year, Chicago-based Good News Cannabis and The Fifty/50 Restaurant Group are bringing back their popular THC-infused buffalo wing sauce—just in time for the big game.

The backstory:

The special sauce first debuted last year and quickly sold out.

Now, the companies are releasing a larger batch for a limited-time sale.

The Fifty/50 Sports Bar, which closed in Wicker Park last September, was known for its signature mild orange wing sauce. That same sauce has been infused with 100 milligrams of THC in collaboration with Cresco Labs.

The sauce is made using an odorless and flavorless THC distillate cannabis oil. Each 10-ounce container contains enough sauce for about 24 wings, with each wing delivering a microdose of roughly 3 to 5 milligrams of THC.

What's next:

The THC-infused sauce is only available in select dispensaries, and supply is limited. Cresco Labs sees this as part of the natural evolution of cannabis products as the industry expands.
