VIDEO: Illinois officer saves choking woman

Proving there's no such thing as a routine day on the job, a Lake County deputy's body cam recorded the moment he saved a woman's life.

The Lake County Sheriff's Office posted the video to their Twitter account with the hashtag “right place, right time.”

It was 1:00 in the morning last Tuesday when Deputy Alex Dador came across what he thought was a broken down car. But when he got out to talk to the woman standing at the front of it, he realized she was choking. After making sure that the woman was not pregnant, he wrapped his arms around her and performed the Heimlich.

Turns out it was a piece of hard candy that was stuck in the woman's throat.
