Fret not: Chicago Bears Caleb Williams undergoes minor procedure | Reports

Chicago Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams had just finished his first season piloting the Bears' offense.

Chances are, if you were watching USC vs. Wisconsin basketball, you may have noticed Williams' sporting a cast on his right hand.

Fret not, Bears fans.

According to multiple reports, Williams underwent a minor procedure to have a cyst removed.

Cysts in the wrist or in the upper arm can cause pain, irritation, or tingling if the cyst presses on nerves, ligaments, or arteries. Procedures to remove a cyst usually take two to eight weeks to recover fully.

If the 2024 season is any indication, Williams will make a full recovery. He was the first Bears quarterback since Jay Cutler in 2009 to play a full season.

Williams was still sacked 68 times, which was the most in the NFL. The Browns were second with 66 sacks allowed.

This proved two things: No. 1, the Bears need to invest in the offensive line this offseason and No. 2, Williams is tough. He still got back up every time.

Still, it's probably unsettling to see a star quarterback with a cast on his wrist, no matter what the situation is. The good news is that Williams will be just fine.
