6 Chicago area high school football coaches selected for Hall of Fame
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Six Chicago area high school football coaches were tapped to be inducted into the Illinois High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame this year.
The coaches were chosen for their contributions to the profession and impact on their schools and communities. The full list of coaches from around the state includes active, retired and deceased coaches, as well as assistants.
Here are the coaches from the Chicago area:
Career
- Tom Bailey – Homewood-Flossmoor Community High School in Flossmoor
- Lee Maciejewski – Glenbard West High School in Glen Ellyn
Assistants
- Keith Laughary – Morris Community High School
- Thomas Lahey – Andrew High School in Tinley Park
- Terry Stanger – Marian Central Catholic High School in Woodstock
Deceased
- Tom Peterson – Minooka Community High School
Tim O'Halloran, who goes by the moniker "Edgy Tim" and runs a popular Illinois high school sports and recruiting website, will also receive the Ray Eliot Award.
