Chicago municipal election has historic early voter turnout
Voters in Chicago broke records by voting early and by mail in this election. Chicago Board of Elections' Max Bever says 214,000 vote by mail applications were filed, which was the most they've ever had for a municipal election. The overall voter turnout was similar to 2019 and 2015, but a lot more voters chose to mail in their ballots.
