Chicago weather: Another round of wintry weather is possible
CHICAGO - Skies will remain mostly clear to partly cloudy Thursday evening. West-northwesterly winds will increase briefly, mainly from 7 p.m. to midnight.
Gusts may occasionally be as high as 40-45 mph during this time frame. Overnight lows are expected to drop into the teens.
Friday Forecast :
Friday looks fairly quiet with partly cloudy skies becoming mostly cloudy during the day. Highs will be near normal in the lower 30s.
Next Winter Storm:
Our next winter storm system will likely bring impacts to the area on Saturday.
While the exact path of the system is still being determined, it appears the northern portion of Chicagoland could see a period of snow, while the majority of Chicagoland may end up seeing another icing event.
It'll be something to watch as we get closer. High temperatures on Saturday will be in the lower 30s.
Super Bowl Sunday Forecast :
Super Bowl Sunday will be pleasant with partly to mostly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 20s.
Quiet weather conditions will linger through the middle of next week, and then a small chance of snow exists late Wednesday.
