47 new Chicago schools to receive funding through Lollapalooza Arts Education Fund

CHICAGO - There was a big boost for Chicago Public Schools on Thursday, courtesy of Lollapalooza.

Officials say 47 new schools are receiving funding through the Lollapalooza Arts Education Fund, bringing the total number of schools served to 97.

Those funds will help promote dance programs and musical theater.

It will also fund the purchase of instruments among other projects.
