Cuban musicians to visit Chicago in cultural exchange, performance

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - It's the story that travels from Chicago to Cuba and back. In October, 2012 Orbert Davis, co-founder and artistic director of the Chicago Jazz Philharmonic, along with the team, went to Havana for research and inspiration.

What they found was much more.

Davis and the musicians returned to Cuba in 2014 and took a week-long residency at ISA, a national conservatory of music in Havana,

During their visit, the US and Cuba announced normalization of diplomatic relations. Now, 2 years later, Davis and the CJP are welcoming Cuban musicians to Chicago for a performance and cultural exchange.
