Foxx victory could have major benefits for Preckwinkle

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - She's held the job for almost 8 years but this election season, Cook County State's Attorney Anita Alvarez is facing harsh critics and stiff competition.

As of now, Alvarez is challenged by former prosecutor Kim Foxx and Illinois Gaming Board Attorney Donna More.

Foxx has already been endorsed by the Democratic Party of Cook County including a strong endorsement from her old boss, Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle.

Paul Green, professor of public administration at Roosevelt University, joined Good Day Chicago to talk about how much power Preckwinkle will yield if Foxx wins.
