Man gets shot in West Garfield Park, drives himself to hospital

A man was shot Saturday in West Garfield Park.

About 6 p.m., the 34-year-old was in a parked vehicle in the 4400 block of West Gladys Avenue when someone in another vehicle pulled up and fired shots, Chicago police said.

The man was struck in the arm and drove himself to Rush Oak Park Hospital, where he was in good condition, police said.

Area Four detectives are investigating.
