Police: Robbers targeting intoxicated people in Loop
CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - Chicago Police are warning residents of robbers targeting intoxicated people in the Loop.
An pair of robbers approached drunk people during the nighttime hours and demanded or took their wallets and cell phones, according to a community alert from police.
The robberies happened:
at 4:30 a.m. on March 13 in the 300 block of South State Street;
at 11:45 p.m. on March 16 in the 0-100 block of North Wells Street;
and at 7:30 p.m. on March 26 in the 200 block of West Jackson Boulevard.
One robber is described as a 40- to 55-year-old black man, standing 6-foot to 6-foot-3 and weighing 180-200 pounds, police said. Another robber is described as a 30- to 34-year-old black man, standing 6-foot-1 and weighing 200 pounds.
