4-year-old girl, 2 adults hospitalized after Far South Side shooting: police

Three people, including a 4-year-old girl, were injured in a shooting Sunday evening on Chicago’s Far South Side, authorities said.

What we know 

The shooting occurred at 5:25 p.m. Sunday in the 13400 block of South Carondolet Avenue.

Three people inside a home were shot when an unknown suspect fired multiple rounds from outside the residence, Chicago police said.

A 23-year-old man was shot in his right flank and transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition. A 20-year-old woman was shot in her right shoulder and was taken to the same hospital in good condition, according to CPD.

The third victim, a 4-year-old girl, was shot in her right leg and transported to Comer Children's Hospital in good condition, police said. 

Suspect at large 

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting and the investigation is ongoing.
