Aurora man sentenced for arson, assault and car theft

An Aurora man has been sentenced after committing arson and, days later, hitting a woman before stealing a car from a bystander who intervened.

Two Aurora officers have been acquitted of any wrongdoing in a shooting in February 2023. The Kane County State's Attorney says the officers did not commit any unlawful acts after shooting a man believed to be in the middle of a mental health crisis.
