1 dead after being ejected from vehicle in Cook County crash
COOK COUNTY, Ill. - One person is dead, and two others were injured in a three-vehicle crash in Cook County Thursday night.
At about 6:41 p.m., Illinois State Police responded to a three-unit crash involving a commercial motor vehicle.
According to preliminary information, a vehicle, unit one, was traveling southbound on Interstate 94 at 115th Street, while a truck tractor semi-trailer was parked on the shoulder.
Another vehicle, unit two, was also traveling southbound on I-94 near unit one.
Unit one drifted onto the shoulder and struck the rear of the semi-trailer. Unit one then overturned and the occupant of that vehicle was ejected.

Unite one then struck unit two as it was overturning.
The occupant of unit one was transported to an area hospital, where they died from their injuries.
The driver of the semi-trailer refused medical attention.
The driver and passenger of unit two were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No additional information was made available by police.
