Former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz reportedly closer to running for president as independent

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Fox 32 News) - In an interview to be aired on Sunday, former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz says he is thinking very seriously of running for president.

The interview is set to be aired on "60 Minutes."

Schultz says he would run as an independent. 

The Atlantic reports that many "top Democratic operatives... say they're worried that the only thing he'll accomplish is making sure Donald Trump gets re-elected."

It is estimated that Schultz is worth $3.3 billion.
