Giraffe kills award-winning filmmaker

NORTH WEST PROVINCE, South Africa (Fox 32 News) - An award-winning filmmaker died after he was head-butted by a giraffe and thrown into the air.

Carlos Carvalho, 47, was smacked by a giraffe named Gerald at the Glen Africa Country Lodge in South Africa on Wednesday, according to The Telegraph.

Lodge officials said the giraffe did nothing wrong and will remain.

Carvalho was the director of photography for "The Forgotten Kingdom."
