Police seek 3 suspects in carjackings on the Southwest Side

Police are searching for three people in connection to a string of carjackings Thursday in the Southwest Side.

In each carjacking, three males approached a person that was sitting inside their vehicle and pointed a black and silver handgun at them, Chicago police said.

The suspects demanded they get out of their vehicle before getting inside and driving away, police said.

The robberies happened:

  • In the 4900 block of South Kimbark Avenue;
  • In the 4000 block of South Western Avenue; and
  • In the 4200 block of South Fairfield Avenue.

The suspects were wearing black hooded sweatshirts and are between 13 and 18 years old, according to police.
