Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner and Democratic challenger J.B. Pritzker face off for the final time in a televised debate.

Thursday evening's hour-long forum in Quincy will be hosted by WGEM-TV . It's the only one of three gubernatorial debates outside Chicago for the wealthy GOP incumbent and the billionaire Democrat.

Quincy is home to the state-run veterans home where 14 people have died since 2015 because of Legionnaires' disease. Rauner has faced stiff criticism for his handling of the affair and the Democratic attorney general has opened a criminal investigation into the administration's management.

Pritzker has been on the defensive after an allegation by Cook County officials that he fraudulently got a $330,000 tax break by pulling toilets from a home. Pritzker denies wrongdoing but has agreed to repay the money.
