The bourbon-based cocktail is a refreshing, warm-weather beverage with enough kick to make you actually enjoy horse racing.

Benjamin Schiller, beverage director at the Fifty/50 Group, shows us how to make the perfect mint julep.

Ingredients

L & L Julep

3 oz Weller 107
2 barspoons Demerara Sugar
4 sprigs of mint
Peach & lemon Ice 

Method

Place two sprigs of mint on the bottom of julep tin
Fill the tin with peach/lemon flavored ice
Add sugar
Add bourbon
Swizzle
Top with more ice
Garnish with the remaining sprigs
