Heat and humidity will take center stage in Chicago for the next few days, accompanied by several rounds of showers and storms. Each round carries the potential for heavy rain, gusty winds, and hail.

Hazy sun will boost highs into the lower 90s today. It might be a tad cooler by the lake. 

On the evening of July 15, a powerful complex of thunderstorms swept through Chicagoland, producing widespread damaging winds and a record-breaking amount of tornadoes.

It was a warm and humid start to the week, and it's only going to get hotter from here.

It's a warm and very humid Monday with dew points in the 70s for most of the Chicago area.

Cooling centers opened across Chicago starting Monday as the city braces for a week-long heatwave.  

Showers and storms are expected in Chicago today with cooler temperatures in the low-to-mid 80s.

We’ve still got some lingering showers moving through the area Sunday evening, so keep those umbrellas handy if you're heading out. 

Sunday will bring a return of scattered showers and thunderstorms to the area. However, there will be dry periods throughout the day.
