Chicago weather: Light snow and flurries tonight, bitter cold to follow

Overnight flurries and light snow

Expect flurries and light snow overnight in the Chicago area, with the best chance for accumulation early Sunday morning.

You might see anywhere from a half-inch to an inch of snow, so be prepared for slick conditions if you're heading out.

Sunday's high will reach around 35 degrees.

Bitter cold to start the week

Monday and Tuesday will bring bitterly cold temperatures, with highs only reaching the teens and wind chills near zero.

Make sure to bundle up if you're venturing outside.

Warming up later in the week

Good news for those tired of the cold: temperatures are expected to warm up by the end of the week. Stay tuned for more updates as the week progresses.
